About Fano La Torre

FANO LA TORRE, born Danny Torres on February 17, 1987 in Queens NY. Although descendant of Puerto Rican parents, Danny was born in New York. His mother decided to take her young son at the age of five and return to their native grounds of Coamo, Puerto Rico, where Danny would then grow up into a young adult. While living in Puerto Rico, Danny became intrigued by his grandfathers’ strong passion for music and carried it with him. His paternal grandfather performed as one of a trio musician and his maternal grandfather sang and played guitar on the streets of Puerto Rico and in “Parrandas” what would be the traditional Christmas caroling in Puerto Rico.

The name Fano La Torre came about when his grandfather baptized him with the nickname “Fano”. La Torre is a combination of his last name with a great meaning of grandeur; the quality of being grand; magnificence. Torre in Spanish means tower; which in fact would be part of the inspiration for this up and coming artist and his unfolding career.
Aside from his grandfathers’ who helped bring out the hidden talent in this young man, Fano’s musical inspirations are amongst many great well-known artists such as MarcAnthony, Luis Fonsi, Ricardo Arjonas, Jose Jose; also including Urban Latin Singers Tony Dize & Wisin y Yandel, which helped lead him into the Latin Urban Music Genre.
Danny began singing at a very young age entering talent shows in Elementary School, where he first began to interpret one of MarcAnthony’s songs “Asi Como Hoy”. Throughout his teenage years he continued to sing in different talent shows.
In 2006 Danny openly known as Fano made his first appearance at a local club in Massachusetts Punto Final, where he performed one of his written songs produced by Faux Calixto. The two have been working together ever since. It was then when he was approached by his now music manager, Alexander Marte, brother of bachata pop singer Domenic Marte, whom at the time was managing two brothers known as Taton y Tremendo. It wasn’t until 2011 when Mr. Marte began to work with Fano La Torre in what would be the start of a promising music career.
