About Lil Shug

Lil shug was born in the bay area and grew up in her father and mother Samuel record store the hip hop shop in the early 90s. Her parents realized she had a gift when she began harmonizing, humming melodies and singing song hooks at 9months to 1years old. As a child from 3to5 years old she was always around various musicians at her dad's recording studio and established her choreography by dancing with her mom. At 8 years old her parents relocated from california to virginia. She would spend time in her room singing and writing songs. Lil Shug wrote the lyrics and recorded her first hit single titled "my room" which established her as an artist by selling thousands of copies. At the age of 10 she released her first music video titled "My Room" where she worked with Hampton Virginia 5star video director Jagwar. She started working on her first album Lil shug's life (2004). During this process she worked with a great roster of producer's from the east coast to the west coast.At 11 and 12 years old she established a fanbase and her strong voice, beautiful smile and glowing personality was instantly loved by people of all ages. At the age of 13 she released her debut album titled (Lil Shugs Life) in the summer of 2004 with a second music video titled "Basketball". Her recognition and marketing allowed her to open and tour for major artist's such as lil romeo, monica, mario, Soulja boy, lil jj and the lil tykes just to name a few. Lil Shugs other talents include basketball where she played point guard at Queens Lake Middle School and won the middle school championship with an undefeated season and Bruton High School in Williamsburg Virginia where she led her team to the playoffs. She was awarded a Cheerleading scholarship to attend Norfolk State University her alma mater. Gymnastics and choreography is her passion, she currently works with the youth in Las Vegas Nevada. Her gift and love for music is what has led her back to the studio to record her sophomore album 10years later....(2015).
