| About david k jones | "the rest of dave jones" is a carefully selected collection of my own works since 1969. All these tracks are presented in raw form, using home recording techniques and very basic equipment. All vocal, guitar, and keyboard tracks were written, arranged, and performed by me, using a TEAC 3340S recorder, mixed and mastered to a Boss 8 channel digital recorder; then uploaded to the production software and converted to MP3 format. Thanks to "MANCHESTER" of Largo Fl. for backing tracks on tracks 4,5,and 6. Special thanks to Phil Teston, co-author of "K.I.A"., Dave Willis, co-author of "It"s Only Change", special thanks and congratulations to Kathleen Maloney who penned "A Silent Wish", which received an Honorable Mention award from the "2006 VH1 Song of the Year" world wide song writing competition. These tracks are intended to convey my own thoughts and feeling of life, love, death, and the humor of it all. The wide variety of styles and techniques employed represent my own tastes in music, and should be considered as important to the listener as any single track in the project. The message of each song is not crowded with over-production and over-dubbing. They will hit home to some and be lost to others, but somewhere along the way I'm sure you and I will identify.
