CHANAN HANSPAL, Here And Now Recordings recent signing, has recorded a soul jazz project featuring Imaani from Incognito and many fine string and brass players that 4Hero use. Plus Debbie French who records with Joey Negro! YAM WHO? have remixed Joss Stone, John Legend, Grace Jones and have recorded many great tunes for various outlets including Ubiquity and Papa Records alongside Osunlade, Dj Spinna, Kirk Degiorgio (As One) DJD has recorded over 50 tracks for numerous labels including Defected Records, Strictly Rhythm and Zoom. For Here And Now Recordings he has written, arranged and produced, alongside DJD and Angie Brown "Into The Night" a fantastic hands-in-the-air vocal house track plus the jazzy hip hop instrumentals "Dusk" and "Dawn". ANGIE BROWN has sung on many amazing UK house records but had near chart topping success hitting the number 2 slot with Bizzare Inc "I'm Gonna Get You". Since then she has featured on recordings of Fatboy Slim, Lisa Stansfield, Copyright and has sung backing vocals for the likes of Chaka Khan, Neneh Cherry, Grace Jones, The Rolling Stones and many many more! CHAZ JANKEL was the co-writer with Ian Dury And The Blockheads. He composed many of their chart successes including "Hit Me WIth Your Rhythm Stick", "Sex And Drugs And Rock And Roll", "Reasons To Be Cheerful" (what a tune!) and then solo penned "Ai No Corrida" which Quincy Jones, producer of Michael Jackson albums "Off The Wall" and "Thriller" (the biggest selling album of all time!!), cobered making it a worldwide smash hit. This year Chaz has merely been writing with Robbie Williams! JC from Here And Now Recordings has been djing in and around London for 14 years now and overseas in Paris, Prague, Thailand and Australia. He has worked in record shops in London since 1997 when he started in Reckless Records and did 10 eyars in all for them with a break at HMV as a Jazz Buyer in between. He has been collecting soul, funk, jazz, hip hop, afrobeat, latin, brazilian, house and techno, disco and boogie for a long time now! His djing reflects this and can be heard on his bi-weekly thursday night show on Deep Frequency Radio. He play 2 hour of different styles on his Here And Now show.
