| About William Regan | William Regan was born in New Orleans, LA, on December 10, 1969. At the age of 3 he began playing the piano, which was of no real surprise, because his parents and each of his 4 older siblings also played the piano, another instrument, and sang in the family ensemble. But by the time William turned 5, unlike his siblings, he became more advanced at the piano and that's when his mother put him in private classical piano lessons. For the next 10 years William took lessons, playing in numerous competitions, talent shows, churches, and auditioning for the New Orleans Junior Philharmonic. His most noticeable accomplishment though, had nothing to do with classical music, but rather showtunes. When he was only 17 years old he performed 3 theatrical performances for Moonbabes Theatre Co., at the Bayou Plaza Hotel in New Orleans. He received rave reviews for each of the performances, but all was cut too short when he had a car accident during his third show which ended his time with Moonbabes. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of New Orleans where he started his major in piano performance and voice. Since that time William has worked on several of his own compositions, and athough he was taught mostly classical, enjoys his own arrangments of hymns, playing jazz, country, and the blues. Today he resides in Round Hill, Virginia, with his wife and two sons. There he is a local Realtor and serves as the Choir Director at Round Hill United Methodist Church. This preview of his new upcoming CD "Grace" is the first public release of any of his music and will hopefully be one of many. I hope you enjoy it and will check back for the full Album, expected to be released in November, 2008. God Bless! |
