L$ which means Literature $avi was born on September 5, 1986, in Manhattan,NY. He's the only boy out of 6 girls, four younger, two older. L$ believes rap is his calling, he's been rapping for 13 years so far. His top five favorite Musical influences are Micheal Jackson, Tupac Shakur, R.Kelly, Lauryn Hill and Eminem. L$ is wildly respected in his hometown for battling and ghostwriting battles for artist on an urban dvd called S.M.A.C.K. He went to a High School called Graphic Arts in Manhattan,NY where Havoc and Prodigy from Mobb Deep first met. Queen Latifah also attended the same high school. L$ is a breath of fresh air, and with his outstanding skills in Literature he can actually rhyme to any beat dont matter the genre. He'll make a written verse sound like he's freestyling, so when he actually freestyles it sounds like hes written lyrics down during the spur of the moment. He has a unique smooth sound with personality when he raps. Emusic.com awarded his 1st single release "Look At Me" four stars and Amazon.com awarded him an editorial review for Best Of The Month. On Myspace.com he was crownded Mr.Myspace aka The Face Of Myspace in 2006. L$ is related to Mary J. Blige and by marriage he's also related to Harelm's rapper Black Rob which were both once apart of P.Diddy's Bad Boy Entertainment.
