About Conrad James

For the past ten years Conrad James has been busy writing Soul, Funk and Blues Songs for and with the legendary Charles "Wigg" Walker. His credits include "Number by Heart" and "Another Man's Poison" from the CD "Number by Heart" by Charles "Wigg" Walker, "Dig Deeper" a seven minute soul extravaganza from the Dynamites, featuring Charles "Wigg" Walker as well as "Still Finding My Way" and from the soon to be released "Soul Stirrin' Thing" CD, the title cut as well as "Rub My Bhudda", "Giant Switches" and "Magic Man".

With "Monkey Time In New Delhi" Conrad James steps firmly into the "Adult Contemporary" Singer/Songwriter genre. Each song brings us a new adventure for example, "Monkey Time In New Delhi" is an animated tune which regards Rhesus Macaques Monkeys and their overpopulation. "When The Sun Comes Out" is a fun poke at our fascination with the tabloids; "Catfish Walk" is a collage of interesting odd news, while "Bullet Time" allows us to live vicariously through "Matrix" reruns. Then there is "Zombie Flo"; just when you thought the public parks were safe again, oh no. "Butterfly Effect" brings romance out of the chaos theory and "Goin, Gone Green" tracks two brand new survivalists during a typical day. "Rapunzel O" takes a look at internet dating where a player meets his match. "Mercury Retrograde" shows what can befall us under the star alignments, and "Quid Pro Quo" is every man's dream.

Conrad James' thought provoking lyrics, engaging vocals and unique arrangements with Chris Sanders and his other worldly guitar, makes "Monkey Time in New Delhi" a CD for everyone's must hear list.
