About Lynx
|
I was Born in Mandeville, Jamaica, I grew up throughout Christiana, Westmoreland and Bellefield. Imigrated to the United States in 1997 and now I'm residing in Sharon Hill, Pa. I predominantly listened to reggae early on (Buju Bantan, Bounty Killa, Beenie Man, Beres Hammonds, etc). It was not until my teenage years, I started to listen to hiphop (Biggie, Nas, Busta, Wu-tang, Mobbdeep, Mos. Def., Company Flow, Aesop Rock, etc.) I became addicted to the point where I would only listen to and study the classics albums (Illmatic, Supre Clientel, Populaion Control, Blackstar, Labor Days, etc). By chance I met Bass who was just spinning on his brother’s Eugene’s (R.I.P.) turntables for the hell of it. I would usually freestyle to beats wasted, but never took it serious enough to write any songs. Until we started to record our sessions, and Kristy and a couple of our co-workers heard the tapes and wanted to buy copies. From then on Bass and I focused our efforts to form Bigheads and six years (trials and errors and life’s tribulations) in the making released “Subway Theory.” The album was produce by Bass and Sponge with Lynx and Bass also on vocals. Bigheads, have performed in New York, Philadelphia, Jamaica and Poland. Since the release of “Subway Theory,” I have released Context (the mix-tape) and now Context 2, the album which is now available on itunes (cop it, a must have). I’m currently working on a new project and also on John Morrison’s and Bass new album: all on untitled for now (keep a look out for those). I only listen to music from which I can gain from and also respect and I offer the same to my listeners. Take the time out and if you like what you’re hearing, support is love and I could use a lot of love in this recession or depression we going through. My sound is from the era where album sales means nothing and the lyrics that you bring have to amount to something. Help me help you musically keep me alive!!!! Spread the word and stay tuned: CONTEXT 2 AVAILABLE ON ITUNES!!!
