About One Bad Munky

My name is Joe Zamora and on stage I'm known as "One Bad Munky", if you come to my shows you'll understand why that is. My dad gave me that nickname as a kid and once he saw me perform my music he incited everyone to start calling me OBM.

My life's purpose is to make music and make a difference in people's and animal's lives by donating half of everything I make to charity. When you buy my singles that are listed as "Charity Tracks", you are donating half of your purchases to the organizations linked to that single via my website: ONEBADMUNKY.COM & ONEBADMONKEY.COM.

My mother once told me, "Hito, if you really want to be happy when you're old, give away whatever you have to charity. Take care of your family but remember that everything we have here on earth is loaned to us by God. You don't have to be rich in money to be happy, only rich in LOVE." Once my mother passed away I knew what I had to do after all, she was deaf and never got to hear the music I create.

If you really want to make a difference, put your talents where your heart is. I am a veteran United States Marine, an animal rights supporter, a former counselor for children and a huge believer in God but not religion. With the ability given me by the powers that be I plan to do as much as I can before my tour of this world is over. From disabled veterans to animal rescues and from neglected children to neglected elderly, I intend on doing what I can to make a difference in as many lives as possible.

One by one, I will release a track at a time that you will be able to buy and know in your heart that you're helping one of the good guys on his mission to save lives. I'd give more than half if I could but with my share of earnings from the music I write and sell, I plan on opening my own animal rescue one day.

When you listen to my music, I'd like for it to mean to you whatever is means to your heart. I focus on lyrics especially because I want music to tell a story and create an environment where your imagination leads you away from your day and empowers you to feel alive and grateful.

In essence, please help me help others and I won't disappoint you. You get a great tune and a puppy gets a great home or a veteran gets a new ramp for his wheelchair. All in all, together we improvise, together we adapt and together we overcome.

Semper Fidelis and God bless everyone.
