About WORX

Worx / 2013

Worx is a rock band based in Mobile, Alabama that writes and performs original material, as well as select super-hits from the 70's and 80's super-groups such as Journey, Foreigner, Styx, Boston, to name a few. Their first album “One” was released 2007 to E-Distribution and enjoyed modest radio play locally for 3 years. Their new album “Retrosonic” was released December / 2012 and is aimed at independent radio stations in the southeast region. Their new album has opened up bigger doors of opportunity in being the opening act for Filter & Godsmack at BayFest/2013, as well as for Gretchen Wilson at the 2013/2014 MoonPie Drop in Mobile, AL, and also opening for Joan Jett and Kid Rock on the main stage of BayFest/2014.

Worx was discovered in Birmingham, where the band originally formed in the 1980's by Bernard “Bernie” Dittman. Dittman owned WAPI - FM / I-95 and produced the Mark & Brian Show. Dittman booked Worx to play for the highly touted radio show, which put Worx on the map as a legit band in the Birmingham metro area.

Worx has had several press reviews through the passed few years with The Mobile Press - Register / AL.com, The Pensacola News Journal, and Lagniappe. Additionally, since 2012 Worx has started a targeted radio ad campaign for upcoming shows.

The four members of Worx are experienced musicians, having performed in many popular groups locally, regionally and nationally. This combination of experience and higher level of musicianship provides for a more entertaining experience for their fans and followers.
