| About Florida Boyz Entertainment | Latavian Laster, Sr. formerly known as Brotha Blue {Da Messenger} is an American hip hop artist from a small city located in Broward County by the name of Deerfield Beach, Fla. At the age of 27, the hip hop artist witnessed and shared the struggles of life with its natural up’s and down’s, which shaped him into the strong motivated character of Brotha Blue {Da Messenger}. Spending part of his child life in Deerfield Beach, and the other half in the city of Delray Beach, Brotha Blue have strong memories of every struggle that presented itself, which has made him into the strong confident individual he is today. Growing up in a home with three other brothers and mother, the hip-hop artist quotes: “Life has two paths which we can decide to walk and two ways to see the direction in life where our hearts leads us.” With a strong passion for elementary school activities, “spelling and writing always been something apart of me,” he says. “Growing up in an environment with a lot of crime played a huge part of me being influenced by the older dudes on the corner.” After hanging and depositing the ways of the street life, Brotha Blue found himself spending his teenage life in and out the system, including close to death. “God protects all his servants living to do his will,” says Brotha Blue. With a caring heart for the urban areas across the nation and reflecting back on his past struggles, Brotha Blue discovered a way to reach out and share his story with the world, along with meaningful messages to guide. With the release of his first album entitled The Book of Life, ready to be released very soon, the 15 track project is sure to catch the ears of the listeners. Brotha Blue’s latest single “Lost Love” is currently working its way around the southern section of Florida with plans to spread across the nation. |
