About Laura Lambert | ABOUT LAURA . . . . . Laura Lambert is a phenomenon. No hype! In a time when vocals are recorded one line at a time and pitch corrected with digital magic, Laura stands alone as an artist who can sing a song from top to bottom and touch your soul with every word. Her voice is wise beyond her years and has the emotion of a thousand gigs and a thousand broken hearts combined with an edge of hope. To hear a Lambert song is to feel that one has come to know the artist intimately. It stems from strong songwriting talent, introspection and artistic honesty on the part of Lambert. Laura works at each song, imbuing it with her personality and sharing the ideas that are important to her. To hear her music is to feel those ideas and understand their importance. Truth is vital to Lambert's work. Lambert finds her inspiration in the talent of others, "true artists who are blessed with the natural, raw ability to sing from their souls, to write a song, a melody, that the whole world sings along to"... Music itself can inspire music and such is the case with Lambert. But rather than merely echoing what she has heard another artist perform, Lambert moves forward with her inspiration and creates things that are uniquely hers. In 2007, Am I Wrong for Loving You, hit #1 as the top song being spun by podcasters on the PMN (Podsafe Music Network) Top Ten Countdown. LAURA was also voted AIRSPUNS Best New Independent Artist of 2007 in the R&B category. Lambert has had two songs featured in the movie "Inconceivable". Her song "I Don't Wanna Start Thinking About You" was used in the CBS daytime drama "Guiding Light". She's done session work with Raekwon "The Chef" of Wu Tang Clan. Lambert also nabbed the top slot out of 90 singers in an ABC competition. She opened for Steve Van Zandt (E Street Band, Sopranos), Danny Aiello and Paul Sorvino in Staten Island's Yankee Stadium, and for T- Pain in The Dub Show Tour 2010. Lambert's most recent release is a collaboration with hot new Hip Hop artist, Ceazar, which currently can be found on “Dead Or Alive", a mixtape which includes original music and remixes—including the hit single "Battlefield" feat. Ms. Lambert and produced by DJ Symphony. There is also a video for this song produced by Monstar Films. Go to Youtube.com to check it out.
