About G FELLA

G Fella has been making original music for people since his high school days. Music became his first true love. He spent sleepless nights and long weekends writing and recording songs to perfect his flow and build his portfolio. Early on in his career, G Fella was noticed by talent scouts and he was placed into the business of music at the hands of Shakim Compere and Queen Latifah. Attending a Queen Latifah TV talk show on “White Rappers” a guest on the show challenged his ability as a white boy trying to make it in the rap game. He grabbed the mic from Latifah and spit a 12 bar verse and after the show they began drawing up papers for his first record with Blackground Records (Home of Aaliyah and Timberland). G Fella was featured on the multi-platinum selling soundtrack “Romeo Must Die” with his group “Confidential”. Shortly after, hard times were ahead. G Fella’s A&R, Jimmy Henchmen was incarcerated. G Fella’s recordings and career were put on hold. Another tragedy hit the Blackground music camp when lead artist Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash. Projects went into limbo and G Fella found himself searching for a new home for his talent. After years of negotiations, G Fella joined forces with Queen Latifah and her new merger with EMI. Together they released a compilation called “100% Haterproof” and G Fella was back in the limelight again. He was featured again in the soundtracks for the films “Brown Sugar” and “Bringing Down the House”. He supported the release for six months doing everything from radio shows to guest appearances and performances on TV including the Wayne Brady Show, The Apollo Theater, Soul Train, The NFL Show, How You Living , Rap City and last but not least, being one of the only rap artists to date to spit a freestyle on BET”s gem “106th and Park”. But somewhere, in the midst of all the hard work and dedication, a true artist gets passed by. G Fella has made it clear he will never stop writing and recording. He stills lives and works out of his home studio in Westchester, NY. Today, he is currently finishing the Carmine Gotti (C Gotti) project for Ruff Ryders where he came on as a a&r/writer/producer. He has a library of over three hundred songs and continues to expand it on a daily basis. “My life is like a movie – continuously taking me thru highs and lows, but my gift is my music, so I must continue to write the score and soundtrack to my life story with every new endeavor”
