| About Sharia | Music has always been one of my passions in life. My first love is being of service to people and music is one of the avenues that allow me to reach a large mass of people. I hope this biography will shed some light on the inner facets of the individual named “Sharia”. I was born January 19th to two proud parents whom decided that I would be the last. I have five brothers and three sisters. My family environment was and still is the nurturing factor that has guided my path towards servicing others and my great love for music. Since I grew up in a big family, we never skipped a beat on discovering new ways to entertain ourselves. Even as a young child, my siblings and I would perform for our parents and compete against each other. As young as the age of eight, I would write songs. Then, sing and dance for my family. This was a great joy for me. As the years passed, I chose to follow another path but never lost my passion for music. Ultimately, I feel that my purpose in life is to serve others. I have been blessed with the gift of counseling and artistry in music. The similarity of the two interests is that both are essential to healing. Music is a universal language. It breaks down barriers that separate gender, race, religion and other cultural differences. Through my music, I am able to share my gift for healing. Music is very therapeutic. It allows me to demonstrate my capacity for counseling without personally meeting an individual. I am able to express love, frustration, anger and all of the many human emotions that people feel in my music. My only wish is that my music conveys the message of universalism that all humankind experience. |
