| About Reasie | I am a strong, blessed & highly favored woman of God, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and Army veteran. I am also a talented and anointed singer/songwriter; born and raised in Eutaw, Alabama. I grew up singing to the Lord, of the Lord, and from the Lord and will continue for the rest of my life. I love all music, but prefer Gospel/Christian. I listen to light Jazz, Old School R&B, Soul, Oldies, and Country. After faithfully filling the positions in numerous ministries as the Minister of Music, Praise & Worship Leader, Choir Director, and soloist, I began to develop my own style of music. I truly believe these positions were preparing me for this awesome opportunity at hand. My children and I formed a family group called God's Vessels of Praise (A Bouyer Family Project). You will hear them as background singers on a couple of the tracks on my finished and upcoming works. You will find that my music is inspired mainly from personal struggles and victories through Jesus Christ. The track - Run On and On came from a major struggle in my life. It highlists my testimony. I did a mixture of Contemporary/Smooth Groove/Soul/Dance on my first album. I am a worshipper. You will come to understand that aspect of me through my songs - You Are & Amazing. I love singing to the Lord. I believe there is a little something for all my listeners. Some of my greatest influences on this road I now travel were my grandmother Pearl (1911-1998), my sister Gina (1968-2008), Mahalia Jackson, Rev. James Cleveland, The Hawkins Family (Walter, Tramaine), Lee Williams, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Mississippi Mass, Yolanda Adams, Vickie Winans, The Winans Family, and so many more. I am beginning to enjoy some of the newer Gospel artists that incorporate today's music into their songs. I am looking forward to becoming part of this movement. |
