Bobby Ray Jones A.K.A. BiGG Bob, attended Dorchester High School and Hyde Park High School. He was a star football player at both schools and had offers from colleges. Bobby Ray went on to play semi-pro football. Only the beginning of the adventure of his life!

BiGG Bob is the CEO/Owner of Annie Mae Music Productions, Gracie Bell Music Publishing, BiGG Bob Entertainment, BiGG Bob Gospel TV show, coming soon. BiGG Bob is the creator of the “BiGG Bob” Clothing line. BiGG Bob is a very gifted gospel singer, songwriter, and producer. This gifted artist writes all his original music.

BiGG Bob is no “New Kid On The Block”. Learning from producer Leroy Radcliffe, BiGG bob became a top producer and recording artist. BiGG Bob performed as the opening act for major recording artist in the eighties.

In the heyday of the 80's, he was known as, Captain Jones, rapper extraordinaire. Signed to Beantown Music by the late Mr. Lyman D. Underwood and Mr. Eric Nuri former executive of CBS/Epic Records. Mr. Underwood was a true friend to BiGG Bob, he nourished his career as an artist

During the 80’s BiGG Bob sold over 250,000 records under the Beantown label. His “Space Dawg” recording sold more than the combined artist's at Beantown Music. Among BiGG Bob’s accolades is “best songwriter”. “Space Dawg” was a huge success overseas and Hawaii, not to mention its success here in the States.

A pivotal point in Captain Jones’ career came to a halt due to contract restrictions that prohibited him from recording for any other label. Captain Jones has come to know the power of Jesus. Now he is using his gifts and talent to honor Jesus Christ, re-emerging as BiGG Bob, gospel singer! On this path BiGG Bob finds his greatest success!

Personal life

Bigg Bob, born Bobby Ray Jones was born and raised in Selma, Alabama. He grew up on a small town farm. The son to the late Bacchus & Annie Mae Jones. His siblings include Gracie B. Jones, Anne Bond, Shirley Mason- Jones and Brothers Allen P. Jones, Willie B. Jones and The late Bacchus Jones Jr.

Allen P. Jones BiGG Bob’s brother, is a successful businessman. He is a guiding force and inspiration.

BiGG Bob’s sister Gracie Jones has been a great supporter and is the back bone of his career. Gracie Bell Jones is a true humanitarian. BiGG Bob and Gracie shared the care of their mother, until her passing.

Humantiarian

Bigg Bob, along with Ms. Mattie Deloach, created several humanitarian projects that educate young people in the areas of health and aids prevention. This work is exemplarity of how BiGG Bob always gives back to the community.

Along with Ms. Mattie Deloach and major recording artist, New Edition, BiGG Bob hosted a drug, sex and aids drug prevention project sponsored by WCVB TV in Boston.

BiGG Bob has worked with countless recording artists, producers, and musicians developing their talents. The late Chris Bender was a true protégé. His sound echoed a young Michael Jackson. Mickey Mike, the young 10 year old rapper was a great talent and one of the hottest rappers of that time. BiGG Bob worked with Playback, on their album “Let it bang”. Cory and Daryl Bertocci, just to name few. BiGG Bob finds great pleasure in helping and grooming young artists. Although sometimes a thankless position, BiGG bob feels completely blessed with his opportunities. He is a true spiritual singer, who sings to praise the lord.

BiGG Bob has also worked with Grammy award winner, Tommy Soares, well known recording producer. BiGG Bob‘s collaboration with “gold maker” Phil Greene is one more blessing in the honors of his life.

I'am about to work with Leo Okeke the genius gold and platinum albums. He's a master bass player/producer/musician hit beat maker of all time say BiGG Bob.

Leo was the real deal behind New Kids On The Block and Marky Mark "Good Vibration" and rap group RSO. Leo played all the instruments on most of Maurice Starr hit groups.

I can go on & on about this very talented man. Leo and I are goods friends and about to work on some of my new gospel songs for my upcoming gospel album "God is 4 Life" in his recording studio in Okahoma. Leo has builded a super professional recording studio himself he's also a great carpenter, I look forward of working with him again making hit records.

Maurice Starr, creator of New Edtion and New Kids on the Block, worked closely underground with Bob using BiGG Bob’s talent ideas to help develop the style and talents of the group.
