About 89Music Group/Exit Entertainment

Philly native P89 is a rare commodity these days: an honest m.c. with the skills to match his drive. Over the last several months P89 has assembled 17 tracks for his debut release album "FEEL GOOD MUSIC".

Though he dares to be different he is finding a way to stay on the top of the PHILLY rap scene— continually changing his style and stepping up his game. Over the years, P89 went from being a young street battle rapper (YOUNG P) to street poet who rather put out that "FEEL GOOD MUSIC" then sell out for whats in. In addition, he rep's for his team exit entertainment.

He is on a mission to put PHILLY back on the map. Keep in mind, however, that P89 attracts his fair share of critics who feel that his music is not Philly orientated. But for better or worse, P89 continues to put out that SOULFUL SOUND and for that reason he is celebrated by his fans.

P89 picked up a craft for rapping by emulating rappers like NAS, 2PAC, Jay-Z, and THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G When he wasn't writing rhymes, he was in school earning his diploma reading books on different things to broaden his vocabulary.

In 2000 P89 left Philadelphia pursue other goals in different parts of the world, it was there that he would meet friend and label partner DJ BIG. DJ DIG approached him about rapping over some of his beats. looking for an outlet to do his thing he accepted BIG'S invitation, not knowing that this would be the start of great things to come.

In 2002 P89 AND DJ BIG set there sights on making the fist album which was titled ALL VICTORIES EARNED after 6 months of recording almost 100 songs the album was finished it seemed things were going good but the album was later was shelved due to lack of funding.

In 2005 (young P) P89 packed up and decided to return to the place he missed the most PHILLY! it was there he would hook up again with long time friend and rap partner NICK ROCK, this move back home would also give birth to the name P89. Through 2006 going in 2007 P89 spent all his time in the studio working on a new image and a sound he could call his own, he began working on a new album and a new mix-tape, he eventually recorded his 1st single 2 of the illest featuring PHILADELPHIA FREEWAY and dropped what many thought to be the mix-tape of the year ALL VICTORIES EARNED VOL.1 HOSTED BY DJ NO PHRILLZ.
