Overtime the label has obtained its own right, in both the “indie” and “major” scopes of the music industry. In September 2007 the RIAA issued South Capitol, its own ISRC Pre-fixes and iTunes began rendering the label with several exclusive distribution services. CEO LaPret, was the first of the labels recording artists, to release under South Capitol Recordings, with 2007’s “Do a Dub” EP Today, despite his ongoing solo success, LaPret has returned back to his group, to release their new album this fall 2008. In the interim, LaPret will release his new single “WHAT U SEE IZ WHAT U GET” produced by Rich Harrison, this spring 2008.
