| About Jayar Scintilla | Born James Rosser III in Atlanta, GA, 25-year-old Jayar Scintilla is an up-and-coming performer/producer/writer whose life-long passion has been to display his creative ability to the world. "I don't really want people screaming and falling all over me," says Jayar. "I really want people to listen and view my work and appreciate the quality and rareness of it." While not really interested in being a "celebrity," so-to-speak, Jayar does like to have his work admired. "Of course it feels good when people say how dope my music is. I feel like artists I like, like Tupac and D'Angelo, would enjoy my music. I represent 'substance.' To me, sometimes people freestyle without truly having something to say. Many times, it doesn't mean anything. If I'm not inspired to rhyme, I won't spit something just to say I freestyled." Presently, Jayar has yet to complete his first album, but he is striving valiantly in that regard. "Life happens, and things don't always go as planned, but it's happening gradually," says a determined Scintilla. "If I had to describe myself in one word, it'd be TENACIOUS. I've learned lessons that've tried my foundation as a man, then rebuilt it stronger. I'll have my own label up and running shortly. I've been featured on tracks with artists Negleq and Tron. I'm a Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation alumni. I haven't abandoned my dream." "Whenever I perform, I want to earn people's admiration and respect. I have learned that talent must be combined with work ethic, consistency, and business sense. I give all honor and praise to the Lord for my talent." |
