About FreedomBorn Records

The group "Foreva About Money" is a member of the FreedomBorn Records family.
FreedomBorn Records is an independent label founded in 1999 in the city of Philadelphia. Founded on the campus of the University Of Pennsylvania, by CEO's/Artists Tony Spades (Antonio Speights) and Adychshun (Roger Beckwith), FreedomBorn has now expanded to NYC, where Tony Spades grew up, and also to North Carolina, where CEO/Artist Big Shot (Hafid Jamal) now resides.
FreedomBorn was founded on the principles of promoting artists to be independent and self-sufficient. Tony Spades was actually almost to signed to a mid-major label at the age of 16 but turned it down because of irreconcilable differences. But that experience spurned the idea for what is now FreedomBorn.
Adychshun, long time friend and family of Tony Spades, agreed with the idea and came up with the name "FreedomBorn" along with the original logo ideas for the label. (All of which can be seen at http://www.tonyspades.com) Over the years the collection of independent artists that came together under the label of FreedomBorn have come to be known as F.A.M. (Foreva About Money). It just seemed to sum up the essence of everything the group was trying to accomplish. The original version of this album, "Hungry", was initially only available overseas where the group was able to grow some roots through collaborations with artists in Amsterdam. Now finally after years of mixtape music, in excess of over 100 songs, the group and label are ready to push their debut album on home soil.
The time is now and they are "Hungry".

So support independence, support young entreprenuers, and overall just support good music by downloading at least one single that you like. We appreciate everyone who has been there for the ride, and all of you that are about to jump aboard. We look forward to entertaining you all.
