| About Soundproof | Soundproof, a band comprised of 4 enthusiastic musicians from north Dublin. Formed in 2006 by 3 brothers, Ste, Neilo and Puss, they began writing creative melodies full of harmonies and catchy choruses in their "soundproof" shed out their back garden. Ronan Power later filled the role as bassist and the ensemble was complete. Soundproof are a high energy melodic rock band that stand out from other acts with the 3 part harmonies and catchy choruses that connect them with the audience. They have enjoyed playing gigs all around the city of Dublin in venues like Whelan's, The Button Factory, The Village, The Sugar club and Eamon Doran's. In autumn 2009 they went on to record, mix and master their debut EP titled "Shoot Me" at Pulse recording studios. The launch of the EP saw a packed out audience at the Village venue on October 16th 2009 and reviews from websites like In Dublin, Heineken Music and Music Review Unsigned has really helped Soundproof make their mark on the Dublin music scene. As quoted by Colin Cosgrave on Heineken music, Puss incorporates "all the swagger of an established front man" and the supreme energy displayed by the band has really grasped the audience in their live sets. In among the melodies lead guitarist Stevo delivers passionate Doors/Lizzy inspired riffs and solos. The band have just finished work on their debut EP which is due out on May 28th this year.
