| About DARREN DAIGREPONT | Darren Daigrepont is a one-man-band/solo artist with unique talents for songwriting, and tune making. He may have made impressions and struck a chord with the underground metal scene, but struck out with labels, producers, management, and surprisingly with local bands he has been in and out of. His brand of metal is hard to define, his melodic and operatic vocal style, blended in with blistering guitar riffs and solos, the sound of a pounding distorted bass, the near-dynamic drumming, and the occasionally progressive, and symphonic sound mixed in. Torn by musical and creative differences, along with the turmoil in and out of a number of local bands, and head-butting over his own musical direction, Darren had more harmony on his own rather than in a band of any kind. Since amping up his hard rock dreams in 2002, Darren has spent nearly a decade in and out of various hard rock/metal bands in the small local scene in Delaware, mostly due to conflicting schedules, and inconsistent musicians. Darren had officially decided to become a solo artist in October 2008. After failed attempts to get signed to an indie label, Darren began releasing music on the Song Cast Online Distributor in 2010. He would release five albums worth of material but failed to gain interests due to lack of promotion or exposure. As of 2014, Darren is currently forming a horror punk band with his long-time friend and bassist, Thurley "Murph" Murphy, called KRIMSYN GHOST. He plans to give his self-titled albums another chance as things are looking up for him and his music, "DARREN DAIGREPONT I & II" will be officially re-released by Song Cast in 2014. He also plans to hire two musicians to play gigs with as a solo artist. |
