About Cezar

Cezar is an emcee and producer born in Plainfield, NJ and grew up in Kingston, NY. Cezar has been surrounded by music his entire life due to the fact that both of his parents were musicians. His mother was a singer and his father was a guitarist, both part of a local New Jersey band. The first time Cezar personally experienced his passion for music was when he rapped in his 4th grade Christmas Play. It was at that point where he fell in love with hip hop music. Since the age of 13 he has pursued rap as his 1st love. He wrote rhymes for himself and his friends to recite and perform in school talent shows. Much of Cezar’s inspiration has come from life experiences and the experiences of those who are close and personal to him. Artists that Cezar credits for his musical influence are Big L and Nas, as well as Big Pun, Canibus, Jay-Z, and Royce Da 5’9. Cezar does not like to be referred to as a rapper, but rather as a poet due to his writing style. He writes poetic in nature which exhibits his diverse rhyme schemes and styles. One of Cezar’s most distinguishing assets is his sharp multi-syllable delivery, which he is not afraid to demonstrate. He loves displaying his lyricism. Making songs that set moods are personally fulfilling to Cezar, especially when based off of true events.
