About Tony Asquith

Late 70’s early 80’s I began my musical career by playing in bands/duos whilst in Newcastle , until I landed the resident gig at the infamous Star Hotel as the Acoustic Show Band.
Highlights were supporting such acts as Air Supply and Galapagos Duck. During the early 80’s I was writing and performing with Steve Abbot in a duo 'the Jerk Off s'. Steve was 'the Sandman' of ABC TV , GNW Live and JJJ.
In the mid 80's I toured throughout Asia playing gigs in top Hotels , radio stations and Universities.
After returning to Australia in 1986, I have been working in bands and solo spots from the Gold Coast to Sydney. Venues include Byron’s Great Northern, The Rails, Yamba’ Pacific, The Playroom, The Patch etc 1990’s-2010 Launching 2 CD’s Eyeland of Love and Thunder Of Love, whilst currently working all local venues in the Tweed, Byron, Coffs-Grafton area, playing a mostly Rhythm and Blues solo acoustic and electric guitar/vocals.
I am a surfer and artist.
I have a great faith in Jesus and want my music to reflect the love and beauty and human side of life that we all go through.
