About Marty Daniels

When guitar maestro Marty Daniels isn't crooning on cruise ships he can likely be found in his studio, beavering on his next tune.
The Montreal born and reared singer, composer and arranger could be called a one-stop songwriting shop — playing bass, percussion, some keyboards and a gaggle of guitars.
Daniels' debut disc “Two Sides”, co-produced with Bob Benson in Victoria Canada, featured 10 of his original songs. It also featured some fine west coast talent. Marty was joined by Phil Newns (keyboards), Wane Summers (percussion), Charly Wade (drums), Will Cardinal (bass), Shakey Reay Suter (harmonica), and vocalists Tania Hancheroff and Duncan Meiklejohn.
Now Daniels has just released his second platter, “Reflexions”
The first track, “Brand New Day” was previously released as a single. “A Letter to Mom” was also released as a single to be included in Marty’s next project. Both tunes were penned and performed by Daniels.
“REFLEXIONS” is a collection of songs I wrote about people…how we treat each other and the world around us…”REFLEXIONS” will make you look in the mirror”
Some of Marty’s tunes focus on violence, poverty, the environment…He said, “there’s even a song with a surprise ending that should hit you right in the chest”
His musical style stems from an incredible diversity of colors, naturally developed over many years working as a professional musician.
“REFLEXIONS” musical style sort of finds me using my array of guitars as a painter would use different brushes …this type of thing can happen when you find yourself working alone in the studio” he laughed.

Daniels' influences bridge The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, and Eric Clapton to Carole King, Glen Campbell, Jimmy Webb, and the Carpenters.
His jazz heroes are Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, George Benson, and Antonio Carlos Jobim.
During a live performance, Marty Daniels will also suddenly cut loose with a wicked improvised guitar solo that will set fire to the stage….he can burn with the best !
Marty has performed internationally on 15 cruise liners since 2006. His growing list of fans spans the U.K Europe and Scandinavia, to Russia, Eastern Europe, the Caribbean and South America.
