About KontraVerse-C

Down south Miami, Florida native “KontraVerse-C” is a one man act not to be reckoned with. Born and raised in the toughest streets of Miami, this Rapper, Songwriter, Producer has overcome some of his most challenging aspects of his life by living up to his most notable and self proclaimed quote as “Nothing happens by accident, Everything happens for a reason”. Inspired by some of the most respected acts of Miami such as the 2 Live Crew and others of the great booty shakin’ days as he recalls it. KontraVerse-C once went by another stage name as Daddy Casanova from which he gained prominent respect and was shown interest by a local radio personality by the name of DJ Laz who works at the station (POWER 96) WPOW 96.5 fm in Miami, Florida. He was discovered by DJ Laz when he sent him a demo tape to the station back in 1995 showing him his ability and love for music from which he rapped a song that was on DJ Laz’s 2nd studio project called “DJ LAZ Journey into Bass“. KontraVerse-C rapped a song from that album titled 808 kick drum which was simply an instrumental track. He wrote his own verses for that particular track and sent it to him, DJ Laz was blown away by his lyrical ability and not to mention his age at that time which was a mere 17 years old. With in a week of DJ Laz receiving the demo tape, Laz quickly called KontraVerse-C and expressed his interest in working with him to start his 3rd studio project titled “DJ Laz King of Bass”. KontraVerse-C was in shock of that phone call because not only was he moved by the news but because he was also a huge fan of DJ Laz and to have him want to collaborate on his album was like a dream come true. The track that Laz chose for him was titled King of Bass also the same title as the album. The album dropped in July of 1996 and was noted as one of Laz’s best albums he had. Not all seems to be as anyone would expect it to be but some things just happen for a reason. Sad to say that KontraVerse-C did not do his homework on the music business do’s and don’ts from which he learned the hard way. “In this business you just can’t rely on promises but you do have a chance at picking up where you left off“. A couple years later, KontraVerse-C finally said to himself that he would lay low off of the music for a while to focus on his personal life. At a previous job that he had as a security officer, he met a person that is still to this day a good close friend of his who introduced him to a beat making program called “Fruity loops“. With no idea on how to use the program, he played with it for hours a day trying to understand how to create tracks. Once he mastered the program then the rest is history. KontraVerse-C still uses this program to produce some of his hottest tracks ever heard. Inspired by some of hip hops most respected producers like Dr.Dre, Timbaland, Lil Jon, and Jermaine Durpee, he decide that it was time for everyone to see his other ability that he has besides rapping which is producing music. He understands that in this business, the industry is nothing more than a roller coaster ride. The same way you go up, you also go down. KontraVerse-C is Miami’s most talented underground act soon to take the industry by surprise. He is not afraid to express his opinions on life, politics and personal trials and tribulations period. This is the reason he has chosen the name KontraVerse-C which was his first original name before he went under the stage name Daddy Casanova. The world will soon know who KontraVerse-C is and what he stands for so get ready for this controversial Artist that’s waiting to break free like a caged beast.
