About Brett Hill
|
I was greatly interrested in music at a young age of 5 years old. My mother owned a music store and I got my hands on a guitar and a Chet Atkins teaching video. By the age of 10, I was sure that music would be my life somehow, so I spent the rest of it writing songs, learning to play more instruments and finding open mic nights to sing at. I played and sang in every church we attended and later on became very comfortable with the stage and the crowds. This soon developed into a ministry that reaches outside the churches into multiple variations of venues including fairs, festivals, and an occasional invitation to the bars. Although I've never had a bar life, the occasion arises at times that I am invited so I go and sing my Christian Country songs and follow them up with sermonettes that have, at times, led to someone giving their life to Christ in the bar. My wife and family travel with me on the biggest part of our tour dates and they play a big role in support. We are a ministry team as my wife seems to be a magnet that draws kids in to her. Beyond all the music and touring, we are also missionaries and we have 38 plus churches in Mexico and we love to visit them every chance we get. God has truely shined His face upon this ministry and we continue to grow with His help. Just This Past December, We were awarded the honor of "Songwriter of The Year" by the Fort Worth Songwriter's Association and also won the "Gospel Song of The Year" award with 'Just One Drop'.
