| About ERose | It was 1984, Approximately 4:00 a.m. on Groundhog's Day, E.Rose was born (Febuary 2, 1984) as Erikka Bolding in Brooklyn, NY to her parents Denise & Timothy in the Brownsville area of the city. E.Rose the eldest of all seven of her siblings, was pre-destined with her Leadership. As such, her parents report she quickly took stronghold of her position. "Erikka loved learning" her father said. "It didnt matter what was going wrong, if Erikka could go to school she was very happy"! "She enjoyed everything from the Sciences, Debate, Law and NO ONE could forget-the Arts. Apparently mom could no longer hold her peace-she jumps in "She excelled in everything"! "Graduated Valedictorian twice"! "And it was no accident for Erikka, she had her eye on the title from the time she learned the word"! I asked Ms. Rose what her new favorite word was. She replied, "Universal"! Erikka grew up a scholar in all subjects but no passion was deeper than her love for singing and songwriting. On any given day, she could be found in her bedroom singing to the radio or writing a song. Penning her first song at the tender age of 8, she enlisted the help of her sister and cousin to help her complete her first song "Friends". The songwriting dam burst open in 1992 in her fathers Bushwick apartment and now in 2011, this songstress has penned over 180 songs independently. This young artist is a musician- and her writing and vocals are guaranteed to catapult her into much higher rankings. E. Rose gives credit of influence to many but when asked to name a few she acknowledges: Michael & Janet Jackson, Phyllis Hyman, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Anita Baker. When asked how long she has been singing, Ms. Rose uncontrollably gushes with admiration for music as she visibly searches her mind for her response: " I've been in love with music well before I knew how to speak". "It's my oxygen"! Just like the Rose; graceful, coveted and strong, this force contrasts her own sweet humble off stage personality with her high energy, street edge and soulful sound.
