Automatic Zen are a new and exciting live band based in Nottingham, UK. They began life in 2007 when 2 neighbours got together to jam at home and in the garden shed, who found an instant musical chemistry. Instantly charmed by a rural sound and setting, the two “shed heads” were eager to develop their own type of songs and plan world domination, starting with the garden. Both shared a vision…both have wide and varied tastes in music and both their ideas have uniquely blended into something extraordinary over a prolific period of time. Automatic Zen soon became a dynamic band that has something refreshing to say. The band members have created their own brand of acoustic folk rock and neo-psychedelia. Imagine the Yardbirds meets the Traveling Wilburys and a whole lot of other stuff along the way…
