Beaux Loy always had a love for music and started writing songs at the age of 9. People that were close to him loved reading his poems and hearing the melodies he would come up with. As his creativity grew he had the chance to experience many different emotions that had built up in his life. he feels like it's time to let them all out with the music he has been writing as of late. Beaux records, writes, and produces all of the demos you hear on his page. His goal is to move out of the comfort of his home town and express something completely new all around the world.
He Began his career with Damesviolet in October of 97' when Beaux and his Brother Zak Loy, having recently moved to Austin from their hometown of Dinero, TX went into the studio to cut demos with producer Mark Hallman. Shortly after the brothers teamed up with long time friend Evan Huston and shortly thereafter, Austin native Tommy Roalson to complete the bands lineup. Nonstop rehearsing paid off for the band, landing them gigs at many of Austin's top venues including the Austin Music Hall and LaZona Rosa. After hearing the band once, Artist Manager Mark Proct (Jimmie Vaughan, The ARC Angels, Storyville, Vallejo) became an instant fan taking the band under his management wing.
Soon after meeting Proct and performing in SXSW 2001, the band headed back into the studio with producer Carl Thiel (Lisa Tingle, Bob Schneider, Monty Montgomery) of Austin, TX. The original intention was to record a three song demo but the chemistry in the studio was working so well that the band completed ten songs and instead decided to release a full length CD. Damesviolet also landed SXSW 2002 & 2003 showcases. Their first record sold over 3,000 copies and gained them radio play on local stations such as KLBJ, The Mix, and 101X.
In February 2004 Damesviolet teamed up with producer John Ryan (Santana, STYX, Wil Seabrook Band) of Los Angeles, CA to create Room 107, the follow up to Damesviolet's first self-titled release. Room 107 is an all-new, edgy record that is taking the band to even higher levels of success in the southern US region. It encompasses heart-felt lyrics combined with modern rock progressions and is helping to broaden Damesviolets fan base.
Beaux has gained the respect of the Texas music community having shared the stage with the likes of The Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, Lit, Dishwalla, Blue October, Bush, Days of the New, Edwin McCain, Avril Lavigne, and many more.
