Born in Enugu State (south-east, Nigeria) on the 27th August, 1992, Obiechina Izuchukwu popularly known as D.BANK, is the first child of his family. As a young man, D.BANK grew up as a music fan, but he hardly had any idea that he would one day abandon his childhood dream of pursuing either medicine to developing a
deep passion for professional music. D.BANK wrote his first Rap song in 2010 inspired by hip-hop star, Eminem. From that he began to explore his writing skills drawing inspiration from accomplished artists like M.I, T.D JAKES, FRANK EDWARDS, PHYNO. However, after completing high school in 2011, he was admitted to study Biotechnology at Ebonyi state university in 2012. The
name D.ABNK is simply all about his identity in Christ Jesus. A 'BANK' where the power of GOD flows through music. In 2011, he recorded his first single which contributed to his development in his musical abilities. Burning with full passion for Gods work, he then moved on to record another single as a solo artist in 2012. D.BANK also wrote songs for the college fellowship praise team and other local artists. In 2013, D.ABNK recorded another single and embarked on a personal promo singing Sunday after Sunday at different churches and youth groups. It was this single that got him a recording deal with BLACKSNIPE RECORDS (one of the best record labels in Nigeria, managed by Cyril Ogwu). He began recording in early 2012 with a passion and vision to reach out to the whole world for Jesus through his music ministry which led to his hit track: 'Alpha & Omega'. Currently D.BANK is working on a new album which is bringing in a new style of gospel
music. D.BANK’s goal is to make gospel Music that is innovative, Soul catching, pacesetting and heaven opening. There is no doubt that D.BANK is here to stay!
