D.I.R.T. aka Dope Innovative Rap Techniques (Edward Terrell Stiger) was born in Texas but relocated at an early age to Virginia Beach, Virginia. There, he began to develop his trade amidst the same musical climate that has recently spawned artists like the Neptunes, Missy Elliot, Timbaland and the Clipse to name a few. He began to write rhymes as early as eight years old constantly being pushed to improve his skills by the wealth of talented MCs around him, battling and freestyling with VAs best rappers. His influences include Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, Redman, Busta, James Brown and Curtis Blow. When he was seventeen, his group V.A.N.A.M. (Virginias Next Artistry Movement) was featured on Studio Lifes Compilation Album from Third Eye Productions featuring producers like Knottz Raw (Busta Rhymes) as well as Area 51 Compilation by local producer Joe City also featuring Smooth tha Hustla. In summer 2001, V.A.N.A.M. released an independent album with three tracks played on Clear Channels 102.9 FM. At the same time, Dirt also appeared on Star Tracks first mix tape which also featured the Clipse and the Neptunes. In 2002, he began making beats and writing hooks for two local groups, Tru MCs and RNS, producing over 75 songs in only six months. In summer, 2003, he moved to Miami, Florida with only forty dollars in his pocket & a DREAM based on a brief demo a friend had sent him of up and coming Miami based producer Chris Chinchilla Chelius. The creative chemistry between the two resulted in Dirt permanently relocating to Miami and starting with Chinchilla Sould Out, a production label that offers an array of services like writing, production, arrangement and artist development. Since the two have met, they have produced 100 tracks. The first release, A Dime n a Nickel EP has had two singles Feelin Right and Soulfire played on 103.5 the Beat and Mix 96.1, two of Miamis biggest Hip-Hop stations. The single Feelin Right was spun by DJs in every major club from Broward to Miami. Dirt opened for Luke at Club Ecstasy and performed live at the Fast And Furious Tour and Concert opening for Lil Flip and Jin. In 2007 Dirt made his 1st BillBoard spoting, with “Kool Aid” A Song he Co-Wrote and Produced for Lil Bass (9years old) & J.T. Money. This Song Peeked at number 4 on BillBoard 100 Hot Singles Sales! Around the Sametime Dirt relocated bak to his home town Dallas, TX were he has been hard at work. Working with Artist like Kobe Savage, The VIP Records, & Jermaine Dupree’s Island Records Dondria Nicole ( Ms Phat Phat) Recording Over a 100 song in a 2 year span. Also producing different genre’s of music, now tapping into to the Rnb Soul, Neo-Soul Market team up with (Johnnie Taylor’s Grandson) Verse. Dirt has Executive Produced and Relasee 2 Projects with Verse 1st being the 35-South Compliation “South-Bound” A Blend of Urban Rnb & Rap.
