May Day was formed in 1996 by bandleader and guitarist-songwriter Patrick Rizzi upon an encounter with co-founder singer-songwriter Bruno Touret at an aviation college where both were qualified as commercial aircraft pilots. Ounce their first independently produced CD was recorded, May Day played various festivals and venues.
