I am kenchris Iyke, also known as ONYE-EZE UMUAHIA. I hail from Amachara Ezeleke umuopara Umuahia Abia state Nigeria. My upbringing was rooted in Christianity. I attended primary and secondary school in Umuahia before relocating to Lagos in pursuit of greater opportunities. Prior to my relocation, I transitioned from Assemblies of God church, where I was raised, to join the Methodist Church mass choir, with whom I won two competitions. Upon arriving in Lagos, I became a member of a pentecostal church choir, where I acquired skills in playing various musical instruments. I served in multiple churches until an evening when I attended a social gathering with friends at an event center, where I was persuaded to perform a couple of tracks with the highlife band. This impromptu performance yielded a substantial financial gain, surpassing my cumulative earnings from serving in churches over the course of a year. Consequently, I returned to the event center the following day, where I was fortunate enough to meet the band, and they accepted me as a member. Within a relatively short period of less than four months, the event director encouraged me to establish my own band, thereby marking the inception of ONYE-EZE UMUAHIA and his Royal band int'l. I am a devoted husband to my wife and father of three children. I envision myself performing on a global stage in the near future. I am deeply grateful for the profound love and support from my fans, and I appreciate the overwhelming response they continually show me. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my mother, Rev Elizabeth Nwaogwugwu. I also wish to express my gratitude to my crew and band members, who have consistently been a pillar of support for me. Thank you to my friends and wonderful fans. May God bless you all.
