Sledgehammer’s music is intended to be an avant-garde form of tech savvy metal/prog/rock. The instrumentation alone speaks volumes and in ways forces undeniable unique characteristics to be brought out in the music. However, the music is structured in a way that listeners can enjoy it leisurely for its interesting and fun qualities, or be challenged by the complex musical properties that are strategically placed throughout the songs. The lyrical content does its best to not contain redundant radio themes and repetitive choruses. It follows a through-composed structure while exploring themes in a literary fashion, while expressing thoughts and feelings through creative stories. Both the music and lyrics are guaranteed to provide memorable motives and phrases. The goals of Sledgehammer are to become professional touring and recording artists, while staying true to writing the music that represents their artistic vision.
