Baby Low (which is short for Baby Jay Low) was born Joseph Isaac Turner on September 17, 1984 in Oceanside, California where he also grew up. He began to get involved in the hip hop/rap scene when he was entered into a hip hop talent contest. He was then "discovered" by Corrupt Society Records, a small underground rap label.
